CALL OF THE WEST MUSEUM
In 2013 the Society opened the first Museum building to commemorate the history of agriculture, transportation & oil development in the High River area. This is the dream of Al Millard, a long time High River local.
Visit the museum and immerse yourself in Alberta’s agricultural & automotive history.
The Museum is located in High River, Alberta at the Ag Society Rodeo Grounds. There you will visit a large collection of farm tractors and farm equipment of the early years. The Museum is based on the history of the influence Ford & the Oil companies had on the agricultural way of life from the early 1900's to the 1960's and beyond.
The Museum has one of the largest & best quality collections of lifting jacks, oil related advertising & unusual Ford products to be found anywhere. Also, Model T cars & trucks, oil & gas signs and related memorabilia, toys, jacks, cameras, coca cola memorabilia and many more antiques and collectibles.

With everything from Cameras and miniature vehicles to a wonderful indigenous display filled with unique cultural items. There is something for everyone to see!
Just Released!
Our amazing team of volunteers completed a full restoration of a rare Haynes automobile. Working over 2 years to completely dismantle, sandblast, rebuild the wood framed body, overhaul the powertrain to running condition and finish the car to factory new standards. Haynes cars were built in Kokomo Indianna from 1915 to 1925 and were considered a very high end luxury automobile. Today, very few still exist, so much so that few people recognize the name!

High River Agricultural Society
The High River Agricultural society is a not-for-profit organization established in 1907. It has been an active and integral part of the agricultural community ever since. We have both indoor and outdoor arenas to host all of our clubs, programming and events.
Eamon’s Garage
The Eamons family back in the 1930's to the 1950's owned and operated a gas station and motel up past the northwest portion of what is now northwest Calgary for many years. Many families traveling from Calgary to Cochrane and on to Banff on the old #1A highway would stop in for gas, any mechanical work, or stay overnight in the motel units.
This Historic building has now found a permanent home at the High River AG grounds and we are currently looking for donations and volunteer's to help with the restoration of the historic landmark. Please contact us if you are free to assist us with this project.
Sunset Drive-In
High River Sunset Drive In is a not for profit organization, currently run completely by volunteers, in support of local charities. All movies are double feature and priced at $40/vehicle. Movie start times vary coinciding with the official time of sunset, gates open one hour prior to movie time. Audio is through FM transmitter, our radio station is 105.9. Food trucks and porta potties are currently available on site.
